The soprano Itziar Real, born in Spain, studies in Bilbao, Spain in the Consrvatory of Music “Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga” with Consuelo Azcoaga (sing), Alejandro Zabala (repertoire) and privat with Txaro Morillas. Being and outstanding student she is awarded a scholarship by the “Diputación Foral de Vizcaya” to continue her studies in the Music Conservatory of Bordeaux , France, with Monique de Pondeau (Paris Opera).There she is awarded the gold medal of honor from the Villa of Bordeaux. Afterwards she goes to Berlin to study in the “Hochschule der Künste. The Sopran Itziar Real, studies in The Hochschule der Künste, Berlin with the Teachers E. Urbanczyk, Ingrid Figur (sing), Arribert Reiman (contemporan Lied) and Dietrich Fischer-Diskau (Lied), he invite her to sing in the castle of Bellevue in Berlin for the german president Richard von Weizäcker during the promotion of his new book abaout the life of the famous teacher Manuel Garcia.She participates as well in masterclasses given by Alfredo Kraus (Madrid), Victoria de los Angeles (Santander), Elly Ameling (Holland) and Paul Shillawsky (Mozarteum Salzburg).


As a concert singer, she has performed in different venues of Germany with the pianists Karola Theill and Karl Kammerlander and in Spain with the celebrait pianis Alejandro Zabala.She sang the second symphony of F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy “Lob Gesang” at the Teatro Arriaga de Bilbao and The National Auditorium os Madrid by the Symphony Orchestra of Bilbao under the direction of Teo Alcántara.


As an opera singer, she sings her first role Lauretta 1989 in the opera “Gianni Schicchi” by G. Puccini at the Hochschule der Künste, Berlin. With the company Opera Nova, she sings the role of Zerpetta 1990 in “La Finta Giardiniera” of W.A.Mozart.( this production obtained the Critics Award from the Berlin Newspaper “Berliner Zeitung”), Lilla 1992 in “ Una cosa rara” by Martin y Soler. Erisbe 1993 in “ L´Ormindo”by F. Cavalli. Miss Jessel 1994 in “The turn of the srew” by

B. Britten. Sandrina 1997 in “L´Infedelta Delusa” by J. Haydn.


As a guest artist she sings the role of Ännchen 1994 in “Freischutz” by A. M.von Weber at the house of Weimar and the role of Maria 1995 in “West Side Story” by L. Berstein.


During two years 1995-1997 , she belongs to the cast of opera singers Frankfurt-Oder singin the roles of Zerlina in “Don Giovanni” by W. A. Mozart; Gretel in “ Hänschel und Gretel” by E. Humperdinck; Najade in “Ariadne auf Naxos” by R. Strauss; Papagena, Erste Dame und Pamina

of the little version in “Der Zauberföte” by W.A.Mozart; Sophie in “Werther” by J. Massenet. Emmy in “Alber Herring” by B. Britten; Hannchen in “Der Vetter aus Dingsda” by E. Künneke;

Prinzessin Schlafittchen in “Traumfresserchen” by W. Hiller (Michael Ende);Zweite Stimme in “Jacon Lenz” by Wolfgang Rhim.She sang Bastienne in “Bastien and Bastienne “ by W. A. Mozart in the Historical Theater of Weissenhorn.


She has recirded for the german radio stations SFB, RIAS, NDR as well for the soundtrack ofd the movie Malina by W. Schroeter. She has also recorded for the mexican television with the aria Vissi d´arte from the opera “ Tosca” by the composer G. Puccini.
